Subject: Spa 3/4 July 2010 Posssible Monoposto Non Championship Race
We are in discussions with Spa organisers to see if we can set up a non championship Monoposto race on the weekend of 3/4 July 2010 at Spa. The provisional arrangement is:
- Mono will share a grid with the French run Formula Zetec series
- We would need 20+ entries from Mono
- One 25 minute practice, two 25 minute races (25 minutes to ensure everyone has the fuel range)
- Entry fee £390
I don’t yet have any details such as standing or flying starts etc.
There is a possibility we could help arrange group travel if people want us to. If we go ahead with the event, MRC will not take a financial stake in the meeting, so we will ask all those who do wish to enter to pay a significant part of the entry fee well in advance of the meeting, on a non-refundable basis (unless the meeting is not run). I will be meeting the Spa organisers at the Autosport Show to discuss possible arrangements in more detail. If you think you would be interested in competing at Spa this year on the basis that I have outlined above, please let me know by email or phone before 14th January. No commitment is involved at this stage, but I do want to get a feel for the real level of interest before I take this further.
