Antti Buri and company are heading for the UK roll-out this weekend. The team's equipment is already en route to Harwich, and most team members leave tomorrow evening.
Antti, being still in military service, arrives Thursday while the team spends that day making everything ready. On Friday, March 13, the awaited Mtec FD09 roll-out will take place at Snetterton race track! The team expects some media to be present for first pictures and initial comments on the Mtec (ex-Comtec) potential.
Tests continue Saturday, March 14, at Brands Hatch.
Pictures from the roll-out and tests will be appearing on this site over the weekend, so stay tuned. The Mtec FD09 has been completely rebuilt from last year's Comtec. This car was the ex-works Comtec D08 #18, grey, as driven by Fransisco "Chico" Weiler in the initial part of the 2008 season UK Formula Ford Championships (see our gallery section for more pictures).
Antti Buri has raced Formula Fords for two years in the Finnish Formula Ford Championships. He never raced go-karts, so his entry into this class has been a quick one. Last year Antti impressed the public at the Formula Ford Festival finishing second among the Zetec's, after series veteran Neil Tofts.
