Our car was surprisingly badly damaged last Wed at Botniaring, so the last few days have been busy doing repairs. Happy to say things are progressing well.
The engine, tail and left sidepod are now removed, and basically the car is ready for some corrective welding. Two tubes must be replaced, and there are two minor cracks to be fixed too. All missing parts have been ordered, and most should arrive next week.The critical item is the welding, and there lies a problem... Only guy I know to do this locally is Olli Kaurala, and he is away until next Wed-Thu (well-deserved vacation - but comes at a bad time from my perspective...;-). But let's see... I will prepare everything so that once the welding is done, assembly will be quick. However, there is no guarantee that Olli can do the welding before Botniaring race... Looking for some back-up options for that.
